So, I'm back from the last EVER Iron Maiden concert (or so they said... Then again, ol' Bruce said at the concert that they used that same tactic once and still did more tours xD Cheeky fuck) and it was A-FUCKING-MAZING.

Seriously, I was a bit star-struck seeing as it was my first real concert since Madstock at age 11. And to have these legends of metal before me in real fucking life, I mean wow.
Srsly wow.

The journey there was alright. I played Spot the Metalhead all the way there, which got really easy when we reached the O2 Arena. Because that's where the gig was and it was full of 'em xD!
Got me a souvenir t-shirt, and so did my Mum (who went with me - Mother-Daughter Quality Time).

Trivium was the opening band. Never heard of them before, but they were fuckin' awesome too. Must look up more of their music.

Then, during the break, a couple of stage-hands grabbed a colleague of theirs during the soundcheck and made to throw him into the crowd a few times. That was bloody hilarious.

And then it was time for Iron Maiden. And holy-fuckin'-shizz, they rocked the roof off. I ache all over from headbanging, drumming my legs (the cupholders on the seats have bruised my effin' elbows xDD); my head hurts, my legs were trembling all the way home and my throat is sore from screaming.
But heeeeeeeell, it's totally worth it.

The journey back was pretty fucking lol, too. Got into a funny chat with fellow Maiden fans whilst waiting for an underground train (the stations were packed with Metalheads, naturally). As the train pulled up, one of them commented "Look at all those unsuspecting people, before we all swarm in there."
Whilst on the train, one Dutch fan (I'm sure he was Dutch) kept singing the line "Fear of the dark" over and over, before yelling "SCREAM FOR ME, LONDON!" He almost didn't get a reaction, but the second time he yelled, the entire carriage erupted with "YEEEEAAAAAAH!!"


On the train back to my hometown, we got chatting to these two nice blokes who had also been to the concert (in fact, there were several Maiden fans in our carriage). One of 'em was determined to get me to swap Maiden shirts with him 'cos he quite liked mine, but I was adamant to keep it xD
And, as I air-guitar'd to my MP3, he questioned if I play Bass. I do not play any instrument, but apparently the fingers I used and the way I strummed means I'm a natural at Bass. Which is epic, because I literally make it up as I go along. Even played a mini-game with the two, trying to guess which song I was listening to as I played my air-guitar.
Guy 1 asked if it was an old or a new band. I said, eeeh both? Then told him it was a metal band. He guessed correctly Metallica. Then I challenged them both to guess the song. Guy 2 stared at my hands for a moment, and correctly guessed Enter Sandman first time. It was fuckin' win.
