Well, I've cashed in on my free copy of Diablo 3 thanks to the annual pass Blizzard so kindly offered to us.
I've been excited all week and pre-downloaded my client last week only to be told I'll have to redownload it because of some error in the files. No problem, I thought, and did just that - the day before it was due for release.
I have all day, I reasoned with myself. What's the hurry?
I started up the download for the installer client shortly after I got up on the 14th, at around 11am. At around 1pm my brother asks me to quit the downloading for half an hour so he can do something... and I accept. Foolishly. When I start up the client once more, it begins from scratch - not from where it originally stopped. I sighed and let it run.
It is now 2.17am on the 15th for me. My downloader has only recently finished - about half an hour ago, maybe 40mins. I gleefully set up the installer and giddily waited for it to finish.
I was like this through Installation: =,D.
I was like this through the epic cinematic that followed after it had finished: 8D
And like this as I went to log in for the first time: 8DDDDD
Aaand now I'm like this T^T ... because Battle.net is down and I can't log into the game.
*dramatically drops to knees in the rain, holding hands towards the sky with a devastated expression*Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
^ That's my new acronym. It represents crying in a corner. Invented by me during the horrendously long download time. Feel free to use it as you please.
And with that, I'm off to dream of demon slaying. G'night.
I've managed to log in and got some time playing Monk and Demon Hunter! Whoo-hoo! Only for the servers to crap up again when I logged out hours later for my WoW Raid. Da-haaaaamn it.
For all those poor souls out there having D3 problems, I offer you this humourous images in the hopes that it will soothe your pain somewhat - because you're not alone.[link]
^ Check out the comments for it, too. They have some real gems there like this: [link]
