Whispering DemonsIt is remarkably strange when you stumble across someone just like yourself. Not on the outside, but on the inside; how they think and feel.
I saw her, sitting across from me with her eyes on the floor and her lips pressed together as she tried not to cry. A frown creased my face, and I thought to console her. Then I saw it. The ugly little creature that sat on her shoulder and cackled nastily to itself as it whispered nothings into her ear: Everything you do is nothing. You are worth nothing. You are nothing.
My frown deepened and with my mouth set in a determined line I made my way over to her and sat down next to her.
"Are you alright?
